Multiphysics Automated Reconfigurable Separation Platform 

The “one-stop” modular solution for complete cell isolation and separation from complex samples. MARS novel modular design uses active-microfluidic acoustics and magnetic separation technologies to isolate targeted cells from whole blood, apheresis, and bone marrow samples. From rare cells to T-cells, the MARS system can isolate targeted cells with high recovery, high purity, and high throughput (H3).  

Genomics

The MARS Platform enables walk-away automation for the front-end preparation of genomic analysis.  MARS is a transformative technology that removes the need for single cell sorting which may improve cell viability.  The system provides debris removal and cell sample preparation in one system while maintaining high recovery. 

 

Tumor Biology

MARS is the platform of choice for CTCs, DTCs and MRDs.  The system offers recovery as low as 1 in 5 million.  The platform preserves rare tumor cells, ensuring these cells are preserved for analysis.  Larger tumor calls can be easily enriched with our acoustics method wash before requiring magnetic enrichment.  There is no need for centrifugation.  Less manipulation means higher recovery and higher viability.  Our small fluidics pathway minimizes the loss of “sticky” cells.

 

Cell Therapeutic Development:

The MARS® platform is the ideal companion for cell therapeutics.  The integrated sample prep and separation wash, concentrate, stain and separate in one step.  The system offers high cell recovery, which means fewer days for cell expansion, shortening the vein-to-vein time.  The matrix-free magnetic column reduces dead volume and trappage while the gentle processing of cells reduces exhaustion.  MARS is high throughput, processing samples 1mL/minute. 

 

MARS is the cost-effective solution for cell separation from small to large volume (10uL to 100’s mLs) in complex samples such as white blood cells, frozen PBMCs, apheresis, solid tumor and bone marrow.  The system provides both positive and negative selection.
